Tell Republicans: Stop Blocking Equal Pay Legislation

Sign the petition to allow the Paycheck Fairness Act to get a vote

Unfortunately, there's still a ways left to go ensuring that women earn the same pay as men for performing the same work.

The Paycheck Fairness Act contains common-sense measures to combat pay discrimination and is supported by a majority of the U.S. Senate — but Republicans in the Senate are blocking the bill from getting an up-or-down vote.

When women in Hawai‘i still make just 83 cents for every dollar earned by men it's time to make a change. Sign the petition to tell Senate obstructionists to get out of the way so that the Senate can pass this vital bill and make progress toward equal pay for equal work.

To Republican members of the Senate:

I’m supporting the Paycheck Fairness Act alongside Senator Brian Schatz, because we need to make more progress toward equal pay for equal work.

It is unacceptable to block this bill from receiving a final vote when it is supported by a majority of the U.S. Senate. This bill would make real progress toward closing the pay gap by eliminating loopholes that let wage discrimination continue, and holding large corporations accountable for unjust wage practices.

Please stop blocking this bill. If you won't do the right thing and sign on in support of this legislation, at least get out of the way and let the majority pass this bill to help families across America.
