Give Gay and Lesbian Veterans the Honor they Deserve

Join Senator Brian Schatz as a Citizen Co-Sponsor of the Restore Honor to Service Members Act

Thousands of veterans wrongly discharged from the military because of who they love still bear the scars of this discrimination, with dishonorable or less than honorable discharges staining their military records. Many are denied the benefits they earned.

It’s time to close the book on Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell and decades of institutionalized discrimination in our military. Sign below to add your name as a Citizen Co-Sponsor.

To members of the U.S. Senate:

I’m joining with Senator Brian Schatz as a Citizen Co-Sponsor of S. 1956, the Restore Honor to Service Members Act, which will help heal the scars left by decades of institutionalized discrimination in our armed services.

This bill will help restore the designation of honorable discharge to the 114,000 veterans across America who were kicked out of the military simply because of who they love — and whose military records are still stained by a less than honorable discharge. Congress took the first step by ending Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell. Now it’s time to finish the job.
